A “Pawsta” Dinner has been scheduled for April 27th to raise money for Essex-based Dog Days Adoption Events.
The event will be at St. Joseph’s Church, 48 Middlesex Ave., in Chester.

Connecticut Officials Seize Malnourished Animals From Oxford Resident
Four dogs, one cat, eighteen chickens, six turkeys, six guinea fowl, one goat, one pig, one donkey, one horse, and two miniature horses were seized today by the Connecticut Department of Agriculture and Oxford Animal Control from Karen Desrosiers in Oxford after the were found malnourished and neglected.
The state Agriculture Department said a complaint was made Feb. 20 about roaming animals that led to today’s search and seizure action in which the Oxford resident state troopers office and local animal control officers in surrounding towns also assisted.
